Footage from Washington includes: the signing of a bill amending the Meat Inspection Act, in the White House East Room, attended by author Upton Sinclair, among others; the Pageant of Peace and National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremonies, at the Ellipse; the signing of the Kennedy Round Proclamation, in the White House Cabinet Room; the taping of "A Conversation with the President," in the White House Oval Office.
It also includes President Johnson's trip to the funeral of Prime Minister Harold Holt in Melbourne, Australia.
